Co-led by PJ Lee (vocals, keys, bass) and Russ Greene (vocals, guitar), with Tom White on drums, Chuggalug are known for their tight live chemistry and precision studio work. Their extensive experience across live gigs, songwriting, and recording makes them the perfect choice to perform the full score of The Resurrection, delivering a warm, analogue-driven sound that captures the heart of the musical.

MEET THE BAND

PJ LEE
Piano, Keys, Electric Bass, Violin

PJ Lee is a songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist. She studied classical piano with Patricia Hannemann, later earning a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Maryland, where she gained honours in local, state, and national competitions. At 15, PJ performed a solo with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. As a teen, she served as concert mistress (violin) for the Maryland Youth Symphony Orchestra, touring Europe to critical acclaim.

In 2009, PJ founded Chuggalug and co-founded the band Us!. Performance credits include vocals, keys, and violin with Christian rock band Consuming Fire (2014); electric bass, keys, and vocals with Capitol/EMI recording artist Face Dancer (2016); and keys, vocals, and violin with Motel California, delivering sold-out Eagles and SoCal rock shows across greater Baltimore through 2018. Based in Maryland, Chuggalug continue to record and perform across the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States.

RUSSELL GREENE

Russell Greene is a songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, and music engineer from Harford County, Maryland. A North Harford High alumnus, he grew up immersed in classic rock from the 1950s onwards. Russell began gigging in 1984 and later formed The Russ Greene Band, a blues-driven rock trio that showcased his originals alongside blistering covers of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Wilson Pickett, and more.

As a key member of the bands Chuggalug and The Vaguely Absurd, Russell records and regularly performs across the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. His rich baritone lends soulful authenticity to blues, rock, and contemporary styles. A virtuoso guitarist who hand-builds his instruments, Russell is equally renowned for his spectacular mixing work—favouring vintage analogue gear to capture a warm, timeless sound. Spanning blues-rock, hard rock, pop/Top 40, Southern rock, country, and metal, he brings decades of experience and boundless talent to Resurrection.

TOM WHITE
Drums
Percussion

Tom White is a seasoned drummer whose live career began in 1985. He later became the drummer for the Ultra Violets, whose album Beads, Woodfelt and Mother charted and enjoyed regular airplay. Tom has maintained an extensive playing and recording career spanning more than three decades, most notably his long-standing association with Maryland music legends Rob Fahey and The Pieces.

A respected figure in the Baltimore-area music scene, Tom is known for his tight, musical drumming style and reliable groove. He performs with Chuggalug and is the drummer on the Original Concept Recording of The Resurrection.
